Classically trained at Central St. Martin's College of Art in Central London, Babette Wasserman launched her own cufflink collection in early 1997 after she quit her job as a jewellery designer. She started with just £2000 investment and 12 cufflink designs. She has now developed her label into a worldwide phenomenon.
Widely regarded by the fashion industry as the most progressive designer of stylish, fashionable and innovative jewellery, Babette Wasserman is renowned for her original and versatile designs. In her London workshop, Babette Wasserman uses unique and exciting materials to create a luxurious and amazing range of cufflinks. Swarovski crystals, amethyst stones, mother of pearl, and soladite are just some of the materials used.
Besides experimenting with materials, Babette Wasserman continuously looks for inspiration from outside the jewellery industry, in history, architecture and furniture, to ensure her cufflinks have a fresh and contemporary look.
Babette Wasserman designs can be found in some of the most exclusive stores around the world including Harrods in London, England; and Bloomingdales's of New York.
Unique cufflink designs include Kae-Sa-Lak, inspired by the intracies of the delicate art of food engraving, and the ingenious two-sided Saucer Stone cufflinks, which can be reversed to display either a semi-precious stone or a Swarovski crystal.
In addition to cufflinks, Babette Wasserman also designs a fantastic range of unique silk ties, button covers, pens, and men's jewellery. Furthermore she has a stunning range for women.
