Luxury silk scarf by Shane McCoubrey. The beauty of the bi - coloured tourmaline stone from Brazil was the reason for choosing this range of colours in this stunning scarf. In nature, sometimes a precious gem produces multi colour banding in one stone so when you cut it, many colours are seen in bands.... this is often seen in tourmaline where the yellow is mixed with red or green is mixed with pink. As with all Shane McCoubrey scarves they are handwoven and handmade in England with the fringing also tied individually at the end of the scarves, each knot is hand tied. Shane McCoubrey tries to keep small cottage industries alive as they have the skills and knowledge of days gone by to give the best workmanship.
