Softop Socks by HJ Hall
Producing their first half-hose sock in 1882, the Hall family began selling socks from their factory in Leicestershire. The brand originated with a simple goal. To provide warm, long-lasting hose for the farming community, something very close to John Hall’s heart as this is the community he grew up in. Renowned for his honesty and integrity, Hall became known as Honest John which then inspired the brands name ‘HJ’ Hall.
HJ Hall has developed massively and evolved into the largest independent British sock company as part of the international group Pantherella.
Keeping it the family, John Hall’s great-grandson proposed Softop socks which soon were developed and became part of the brands main collection. They became popular for exactly what they were intended for, which was to minimise problems caused by the tight elastic that is often in most other socks, creating a much more comfortable and enjoyable wear. Many creators have tried to copy this but have never beaten the original.
HJ Hall socks are recognised for their superb creations of socks fit for all wearers, offering a wide range of fine socks in an array of marvellous colours. They don’t only look good but are also particularly beneficial when it comes to circulation as they do not restrict the blood flow due to their non elastic designs.
